TGIF R&B/SOUL PLAYLIST
This weeks TGIF playlist is a small throwback to R&B/Soul singers and performers starting the list with Ray Charles and ending it with John Legend.
Though R&B/Soul artists include James Brown, Diana Ross, Whitney Houston, Lauryn Hill (without the Fugees), Amy Winehouse, Usher, R.Kelly, Queen Bee (as in Beyoncé), Drake, The Weeknd (one of my fave current R&B singers), Prince, Kanye West, Marvin Grey, Michael Jackson, Janet Jackson, Ciara, Justin Timberlake, Ne-Yo, Chaka Khan, Smokey Robinson and the list goes on and on :), I have put together only five songs (which I think sound great live).
There are a lot of R&B artists and songs I admire; yet I have a love/hate relationship with R&B/Soul songs and music in general. I say I hate R&B/Soul genre, but deep down I know I don’t as much as I say I do (have I twisted your mind yet? Lol). No worries! I’ll let you be since it is FRAAAYDAYYY! Hahaha...
