From the streets of New Orleans in the late 19th and early 20th century, to Kansas City, from Chicago to New York City, to Montreal, to Sao Paulo and to the rest of the world, Jazz has travelled well to refine and reinvent itself under different circumstances.

Why we all love Jazz? It gives us something to swing to, to think, to dream, to dare, to express, to sing to, to romance, to stargaze, to glow and to feel cozy at home. It creates sparkles in our stomachs, in our minds and changes the morale all together (in a positive way).

The music scene in Montreal (my city) is also very active and appreciated. That is why they organize numerous festivals each year and among them is the Montreal’s Jazz Festival.

This year was the 36th edition of the festival and to reminisce about that, I’ve gathered some of the performing artists from the event from last week (The first three on the list). The two last performers were famous artists, vocalists and all that jazz…

I wasn’t able to be a part of the fest. this year, but will try my best to sparkle your Friday evening till the end of the weekend!
