Vintage Fashion: Walking in the footsteps of my mom

I love going through my families closet to find some vintage haute couture clothing, which is left dangling and not being used.

Normally, people no longer use their vintage clothing due to its trend, its fit or because it has been worn.

Hence, I finalized my outfit of the day, vintage yet chic and trendy!

Here is the complete look:

Twill Jacket: Vintage- mom’s design

Crop Crochet top: Topshop Canada

Jeans: Noisy May

Purse: Vintage Bag

Shoes: Nine West

Belt: Vintage menswear

However, people don’t know that using vintage clothing can add some individuality in their outfits and can have a very avant-garde look. We do not need to be trendy all the time. You can be different and bring in a new trend.

I went looking for vintage clothing and I found a three decades old twill brown pink jacket made with twill wool fabric and I also found out later on that my mom designed it.

I already knew my mom had the skills to design clothing, I’ve seen her fashion illustrations and they are gorgeous, and I was amazed when I found out that I was about to wear my mom’s design.

You can tell it is very high quality fabric and very carefully hand sewn.

I honestly believe that if my mom had continued in the field of fashion design, she would have had her own fashion brand by now.

I continued to dig deeper into her closet and found a vintage 80’s purse that is currently extremely trendy.
